At least he’s loved in Villa.
As long as he doesn’t piss off to Tenerife any time soon.
Five games in the Championship and Roberto Di Matteo has managed one win and two draws. Despite dropping down a grade, despite signing well in the summer, it’s the same old Villa at the moment and Jack Grealish might be one of their only shining lights so far.
The former Irishman has bagged two goals already in this campaign and both have been pretty damn good.
His first was a clever solo effort in the side’s only win of the campaign against Rochdale.

His second came on Saturday and it was the opposite skill set but the same beautiful effect.

It emphatically thumped Villa into the lead at Bristol City. They still lost 3-1 but, still…
It hasn’t made anyone change their minds on him though.
Irish fans still pity him.
Jack Grealish. .Forgot about him.. Could been at Euros with Ireland.. Doubt he made wrong choice when declaring for England..

Now England fans are pointing their daggers at him with news that Steven N’Zonzi can’t make the same switch that Grealish did when he pledged his allegiance to England after an underage career across the Irish Sea.
Sam Allardyce revealed that he looked at the possibility of calling up the Sevilla attacker but that his cap for France under-21s ruled it out.
“We did have a call, and it would have been of interest for me,” Allardyce said. “We did explore it, but it was impossible, and it’s dead now.”
You can imagine how that went down.

He’s still happy.
