Harry Kane’s on fire… oh no wait.
Just in case you forgot or you’re one of those rock-dwelling news dodgers that the idiom inventors worship, England were knocked out of Euro 2016 this week by minnows Iceland, and they were terrible.
We’re not the type of bitter folk who’d point and laugh at England’s misery, but it’s difficult not to hop on the Iceland bandwagon. After all, they’re population is just over half of Connacht’s.
And also, we do like to point and laugh at things that are funny, such as this YouTube-style Twitter video of Harry Kane’s “skills” and “highlights” during that humiliating 2-1 defeat to the Icelanders. The juxtaposition of the cinematic score and the horrendous errors by the Tottenham Hotspur striker should be enough to get a smile from even the most furious Three Lions supporter.
