As far back as we can remember, Jose always liked a moan.
Fair play to Jose Mourinho. He always manages to spin, deflect and twist any situation to being the fault of everyone and anyone else apart from him or his players. He has always done it and will always continue to do it.
Jose wouldn’t be Jose if any given problem wasn’t the fault of the referee, the opposition manager, the authorities, the media, or all of the above. He is the master of the dark art of augmenting reality against everyone else.
Paul Pogba was the Manchester United manager’s star purchase over the summer and thus far, he hasn’t quite lived up to the £89m hype. That’s fine, it happens. Pogba is undoubtedly a fine player and it will take time to settle in.
But Mourinho doesn’t appreciate the criticism the French midfielder is receiving for his disappointing form of late and decided to blame both jealous media and current state of society for the flack that Pogba is receiving.
All standard stuff and rather predictable. So to liven things up a little, we thought we’d add a musical accompaniment, and for the hell of it chose the Layla instrument from gangster flick Goodfellas. We don’t know why it works but it does.
Maybe it’s because Jose is trying to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes in the ultimate con, or maybe it’s because he’s describing Pogba’s rags-to-riches tale. Either way, enjoy Mourinho moan to Eric Clapton’s poignant composition…
