Jurgen Klopp joined several Liverpool fans in the opinion that Chelsea’s late penalty should never have been awarded.
The Premier League leaders were given a gilt-edged chance to stretch their lead at the top of the table when referee Mark Clattenburg pointed to the spot when Blues striker Diego Costa went down in the box.
Joel Matip’s contact against Costa was minimal, granted, but Clattenburg felt it sufficient enough to award the spot kick.
Whether it was a penalty or not mattered little in the overall scheme of things as Reds goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, maligned for his role in Chelsea’s opener, saved from Costa from 12 yards.
This lot felt it was a case of justice being served.
Brilliant stop from #Mignolet. Embarrassing dive from #Costa. Justice. #LIVCHE

And it would be pretty safe to say that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was in agreement with the above sentiment as he roared an earful at the fourth official.
There was very little in the way of smiles from the German at the sight of his stopper getting down low and denying Costa a surefire winner.
Instead, there was an aggressive encounter with the official on the touchline before Klopp returned to rally his troops for the final ten minutes.
To be fair, he’s got previous.
