The alternative game on the telly, England vs Slovakia, wasn’t really what you would consider a classic. A classic borefest, perhaps, but it’s highly doubtful they’ll be releasing a commemorative DVD of the goalless draw.

The only conceivable reason why they would decide to release a DVD of this instantly forgettable Euro 2016 clash would be as some sort of cure for insomnia. The beauty is, you could actually guarantee that it would work as there’s evidence to back it up.
Spanish FA president Ángel María Villar was in the Geoffroy-Guichard for the match. Well he was there in body, but drifted out of consciousness at one point. The Spaniard was caught on camera drifted off during the incredibly dull game.
Maybe his hotel is a bit noisy at night will the party atmosphere going on in France for the tournament, maybe he had a long commute to the stadium or maybe, just maybe, the match was so excruciatingly boring that it nearly put him into a coma.
