Dimitri Payet’s done it again!
The West Ham man took some time to grow into the game during France’s tournament opener against Romania.
The match looked destined to finish with an unsatisfactory deadlock after Bogdan Stancu’s converted spot kick on the 65-minute mark cancelled out Giroud’s beautiful header less than 10 minutes earlier.
With the clock winding down and the fans in the Stade de France growing restless, Payet stepped up and provided a moment of pure magic to deliver the coup de grace against the Romanians. On the 89 minute-mark, Payet received a pass at the edge of the box, took a touch on his left and curled it into the top left hand corner with his right boot.

It may be very early days, but this will take some beating for the goal of the tournament.
Not even Giroud shoving him to the ground during his celebration could mar the midfielder’s magical moment. He won’t be forgetting that one any time soon.
