Watch: Dani Alves jumps in goal and immediately starts fixing his wall

Jack O'Toole

If you don’t know what you’re doing, at least try and look the part.

In the final minutes of PSG’s 4-1 win over Sochaux in the France Cup round of 16 on Tuesday, Paris goalkeeper Kevin Trapp was sent off for taking out forward Yoann Touzghar as the Tunisian bore down on goal.

With PSG out of available substitutes, and Sochaux having a free-kick nearly 30 yards from goal, Alves pulled on the red goalkeeper jersey, gloves and made his way towards goal where he immediately started to arrange his wall.

Jeando Fuchs free-kick never made it past the wall but Alves showed some good lateral movement to get across his line.

Whether he could have done anything to stop Fuchs’ free-kick if it had have been on target is another question entirely.
