WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo taking the absolute piss at Portugal training

Ben Kenyon

If you ever doubted Cristiano Ronaldo’s credentials, don’t.

The Real Madrid forward hasn’t exactly been in blistering form for Los Blancos this season since his return from a knee injury he picked up during Portugal’s victorious Euro 2016 final game.

A goal return of just three goals in six games (most mortals would be thrilled with this tally) and images of him looking disgruntled on the Madrid bench, have people wondering whether the 31-year-old can maintain the imperious form that has made him the world’s most feared player.

After scoring in his return to action against Osasuna on September 10, he’s not managed to notch a La Liga goal since – although he’s scored in both of his past two Champions League games against Sporting Lisbon and Borussia Dortmund.

But anyone thinking he might be losing his eye for goal in his old age might want to see the glorious piece of skill he pulled off in training for his national side.

You won’t see a more masterful display of precision, timing and bare-faced braggadocio this week.

With a cross coming in that looked like it was a little behind him, Ronaldo paused, switched his feet and pinged in a delightful Rabona effort into the bottom corner.

He makes it look easy.

With Portugal facing qualifiers against the less-than-mighty Andorra and Faroe Islands and Ronaldo set to make his first appearance back for his national team, you can see the former Manchester United man going silly with the goals.
