Watch as violent Manchester City fans attack innocent Old Trafford sinks

Kicking the shit out of the Old Trafford toilets

Simon Lloyd

It was a frustrating night for the Manchester City fans that made the trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

With Pep Guardiola opting to rest many of his key players, Juan Mata’s goal for Manchester United settled the match – sending the EFL Cup holders crashing out of the competition at the last 16 stage.

Presumably angered by the way the match had turned out, it appears some City supporters’ response was to kick the shit out of the Old Trafford toilets (not literally).

Footage has surfaced online claiming to show City fans – there are cries of “City, City” in the background – putting the boot in to some of the sinks in the away end toilets. The sinks, which aren’t thought to have provoked the City fans in any way, are kicked clean away from the walls, smashing on the floor.

United will now face West Ham in the quarter-finals of the competition, although the news of the smashed sinks will almost certainly take the gloss off their derby victory for the club’s supporters.

It remains to be seen if the away end toilets will be restored to full working order in time for the visit of Burnley to Old Trafford on Saturday.
