How quickly some Arsenal “fans” forget.
For years now, Arsenal fans have had to endure opposition supporters belting out vile chants aimed at Arsene Wenger. On numerous occasions, Wenger has to watch matches from the technical area while a horde of Mensa candidates bombard him with chants of “Sit down you paedophile” and “You’re just a French Jimmy Savile.
However, the latest offensive song about the longest serving manager in the club’s history is a little bit harder to take as it comes from fans who supposedly support the club.
After another disappointing season in the Premier League in which Arsenal have gone from being top of the table in January to being well out of the running to win it before May, some fans have been very vocal about wanting Wenger to get the boot. However, some forms of protest just aren’t acceptable.
A group of Gooners crossed the line on Saturday before Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Norwich by performing a rendition of a disgusting chant about the Frenchman, which you can listen to in the video embedded below.
