Hero.
Well, we never.
Of all the former Arsenal players that we thought the fans would again warmly embrace we didn’t think it would be Alexander Hleb.
The Belarus midfielder left Arsenal in 2008, and most Gunners’ fans had probably forgotten about him until an incident at the weekend. Hleb profoundly snubbed Cesc Fabregas in the tunnel before the clash with Spain.
And by profound, we don’t just mean he blanked him as if he was an ex that he had just seen down at the local discotheque.
No, as Cesc tried to pinch his former teammate, the now Gençlerbirliği man gets away from the grasp of the Spaniard and moves on to Sergio Busquets, leaving Cesc with the face of a man who tried to grab the pretty girl at the debs and got a slap for his efforts.
