The Serbian provides all sorts of entertainment.
Aleksandar Mitrovic will be known to most football fans. The hot-headed Serbian currently plies his trade with Championship leaders Newcastle United.
His combative nature, aggression and relentless work-rate has made him a firm fan favourite at St. James Park. Mitrovic, however, has endeared himself to those outside the confines of the north-east due to his often hilarious, controversial and erratic goal celebrations.
The most recent example of this occurred during Serbia’s 1-1 draw with Wales last night. Serbia, who found themselves one goal down in the 85th minute of the Group D encounter thanks to a Gareth Bale opener, equalised through a Mitrovic header which went in off the post.
Rather than celebrate with his teammates, Mitrovic decides to sprint to the sideline while doing a strange combination of jazz hands and ‘raising the roof’.
This ended in the striker making his best attempt to cripple a member of the coaching staff by leaping into his arms.

Most recent to this, Mitrovic couldn’t contain his excitement when fellow striker Dwight Gayle, scored the winner in an incredible 4-3 victory for the Magpies over fellow promotion hopefuls Norwich City at the end of September.
The Serbian decided to congratulate his teammate by putting him in a headlock and pulling him to the ground. As you do.

Mitrovic’s enthusiasm doesn’t stop at celebrating goals. He also likes to show his gratitude when matches have finished. So much that he decided to lift Newcastle manager, Rafa Benitez, off the ground in an impressive bear hug. No mean feat.

Team-mates, coaching staff, managers. Who else is there for Mitrovic to share his joy? Fans of course!
During a forgettable Premier League season, which led to relegation for the Magpies. One bright moment was an equaliser scored by the Serb against north-east rivals, Sunderland.
A fan clearly couldn’t contain his joy so he decided to run onto the pitch to thank the Newcastle hit-man. A fortuitous slip preventing a nasty collision with the 6′ 2″ striker.
Not to worry though, the fan receives a trademark head lock as a thank you for his efforts.
Last but most certainly not least.
Our final Mitrovic celebration is aimed at a more mature audience. The striker caused some controversy in the immediate aftermath of a goal he scored against Borussia Dotmund in the Champions League when he was still playing for Anderlecht.
We will let you figure out what Aleksandar likes to do in his free time. The celebration can be seen from 3:50 below.
We just hope he doesn’t add anymore celebrations to this list when Ireland face Serbia in what will likely be a crucial World Cup qualifier next September.
