You okay, Pards?
Alan Pardew wasn’t in a good mood on Sunday afternoon. The Crystal Palace manager had just watched his side squander a 1-0 lead at home to 10 man Liverpool, thanks to a goalkeeper howler and a controversial last minute penalty.
Pardew isn’t exactly known for being gracious in victory, so by the same token we shouldn’t expect him to be humble in defeat.
In addition to losing the game in such frustrating circumstances, Palace are remain without a league win in 2016.
So being the person to ask him to pour over the defeat was always going to be a thankless task. Pardew wasn’t happy with Sky Sports’ Geoff Shreeves line of questioning, asking him not to “antagonise” him, as he became increasingly antagonised.
The Palace manager saved some annoyance for this BBC reporter though, and was kind enough to do an impression of a super-slow motion replay when discussing Damien Delaney’s adjudged foul on Christain Benteke.
Cheers, Pards. We never would’ve known what you were talking about otherwise.
Another reporter chatting shit to Pards.
