VINE: Xavi made his debut in the Qatari league in front of a pathetic crowd

Shocking

Kevin McGillicuddy

We may need to have a word with some of the fans.

Barcelona legend and all round pass-master Xavi made his debut for Al-Sadd in Qatar today but it was a far cry from what the former World Cup winner would have been used to in his days La Liga days.

We thought with the amount of top-class players heading to the Middle East that there would be thousands of fans looking to see if the legendary midfielder still ‘had-it’ in terms of controlling a game and passing his way to glory.

Unfortunately about four men and a dog turned up to the game with this vine showing the pathetic crowd in the stadium this afternoon.

There is a number of fans on the other side but when we say a number, we mean about six or so.

The attendance is a real shame as Xavi showed he is still deadly from free-kicks with this assist for Lee Jung-Soo

The game ended 4-0 to Xavi’s side against Mesaimeer, and we’re hoping a few more people turn up for Xavi’s home debut in the coming days.
