It’s a pretty damn good way to score against any keeper, in fairness.
Despite being 38-years-young, Gianluigi Buffon is still up there as one of the best goalkeepers in the game today. Sometimes it takes a lot to get the ball past the legendary Juventus goalkeeper, but for Romain Alessandrini it took a hell of a lot.
The Marseille winger opened the scoring in his side’s pre-season friendly against the Bianconeri with a wondrous effort.
The French man picked the ball up on the wing and either he noticed the Italian off his line and his audacious effort on goal came off, or it was cross that went just wayward enough to become a wondergoal.
He’ll probably claim it was the former.
