Vine: Jerome Boateng produces ludicrously flamboyant backheel clearance for Germany

Phenomenal

Ze Germans ain’t bad at the beautiful game.

While Ireland were scraping a 1-1 draw against Poland last night, Germany earned a comfortable 2-0 victory over Georgia.

Two first-half goals in the space of five minutes from Reus and Muller respectively were enough to give the World Cup holders a valuable three points in the Euro qualifiers.

Despite the German’s prowess in attack, perhaps the most eye-catching moment in the game came from defender Jerome Boateng.

The Munich man  somehow managed to turn a defensive clearance into a beautiful work of art during the match. His backheeled effort is surely a contender for most ostentatious clearance in the history of the sport.
