"Hopeful" as in we're hopeful he'll declare for Ireland

One of the most highly-touted wonderkids in England has produced the goods again

The 17-year-old midfielder maestro bagged another outstanding goal for the Gunners’ youth side.

The teen, who qualifies to play for Ireland through the grandparents rule, has been in fine form this season. Crowley has scored 8 goals in his last 11 matches and many have pegged him as the next Jack Wilshere.

Despite being part of the English underage set up last year, he made appearances for the Boys In Green at u-15, u-16 and u-17 level. Here’s hoping he returns to the Irish squad at senior level because if he keeps finding the net with belters such as this, he could provide some much-needed midfield options for Ireland in the future.
