Ibrahimovic got booked for removing his shirt after scoring a goal yesterday, but it turns out the stunt was for a worthy cause
Zlatan Ibrahimovic whipped off his jersey to reveal some fresh ink after finding the net during Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-2 draw against Caen. We put the odd stunt down to Zlatan being… well, Zlatan. However, it turns out his celebration was little bit more meaningful.
Ibrahimovic’s celebration was actually to create awareness for World Food Programme and the 805 million people suffering from hunger around the globe. As he explains in this moving video, he had the names of underprivileged children written all over his body to show support for the 805 Million Names campaign.
What a touching gesture from the Swedish footballing superstar.
