Despite the fact that he’s a goalkeeper, it’s clear that Luca Zidane is his father’s son.
The French shot-stopper played a blinder for his country in the European Under-17 Championship semi-final against Belgium on Tuesday, Zinedine Zidane’s son (he’ll never shake that title) made three stunning saves to help his side win the penalty shootout 2-1 after the game finished 1-1 after extra time.

Luca then stood up to take a penalty himself, and as if he relished being compared to his famous Dad, he tried to replicate that moment of magic Zizou created in the 2006 World Cup final. His effort was almost a carbon copy of his father’s except when it hit the crossbar, it bounced straight up and went down as a miss.
