Fans watching Worcester City’s 2-0 victory over Stockport County witnessed one of the most bizarre incidents to ever happen on a football pitch.
Both teams had players sent off late in the game after City’s Shab Khan saw red and pulled off a ridiculous foul that wouldn’t look out of place in a professional wrestling bout.
Stockport’s Charlie Russell kicked off the insanity with an abhorrent challenge on the sideline that caused Khan to lose his mind. Khan reacted by lifting the opposing player into the sky and dumping him to the turf with a WWE-style body slam. While Russell was lying prone on the ground, Khan then kicked the lion when he was down. Quite literally, he began kicking the downed player.
Who knows, if the other players didn’t intervene, Khan might have finished him off with a people’s elbow. It certainly looked like it was going that way.
