VIDEO: With this stunning 30-yard freekick, 38-year-old Alvaro Recoba proved he’s still got it

Class is permanent

Oh yeah, and it was a last-minute winner in the big game of the year too.

During his 11-year stint at Inter Milan, from 1997 to 2008, Uruguayan international Alvaro Recoba was famed for his fantastic left foot and his other worldly ability from dead balls.

But the bold Alvaro is still playing the game and wouldn’t you know it, he’s still a class act from set pieces.

Playing for Nacional against Penarol yesterday, in the Uruguayan Clasico, Recoba came on with about 20 minutes to go and in the fifth minute of injury time, with the game tied at 1-1, Recoba did this.

Magic.

And, because we love you, enjoy the best 10 goals of Recoba’s time at Inter too…
