404 minutes after they last scored a goal in any competition, Wayne Rooney popped up with the winner tonight for Manchester United as they edged CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford 1-0.
The goal brought to an end the club’s run without hutting ther net that looked like it might stretch into a fifth game.
The win gives United a major boost in their hopes of making the next round of the Champions League but it was also a history making strike for the Englishman
