VIDEO: Two cheeky England players use children’s game to decide who’ll take a penalty

It’s not red rover, or bulldog either.

Instead, the classic rock, paper, scissors was the highly scientific method decided upon by two England U19 players this evening for a penalty.

England’s youngsters faced Japan and spanked the Asian side 5-1, with the penalty fiasco coming when England were just 1-0 up.

The bizarre incident took place between Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts with both men desperate to step up for the penalty kick.

Abraham won the game, by using the classic rock we assume, but his effort was subsequently saved.

Bizarre, and not a little bit cheeky, and at least it didn’t come back to haunt the team.
