Akeem Humphrey decided to smash his elbow into his opponent’s face in the clash with Panama at the weekend in the Concacaf U20 Cup, and then thought the best way to try and not get sent off was to pretend that he had suffered grievous injury himself.
It’s the finest example of quick-thinking we’ve seen in a long time but not even this Oscar winning performance could save him from a red-card.
