Americans just don’t get football, or, to give it it’s proper title, ‘soccer’. When the Yanks think of soccer, they think of low scores, draws and basically this:
However, the world’s game has made strives in the USA in recent years, with the national teams doing well at World Cups and a growing domestic league. Which is why it’s sad to see the Americans in this video letting the team down with their complete lack of knowledge about the beautiful game.
Not only do most in the video not recognise Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, they also don’t know how many players on a football team, or how long game’s last.
One person thought Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘the guy that left One Direction’ and Lionel Messi’s name is Lionel Liebowitz.
