A Liverpool Legends XI faced an Australian select Legends side on Thursday in Sydney.
Fans of the Reds Down Under are getting the chance to see Steven Gerrard once again in a Liverpool jersey today as he takes to the field along with old-team-mates Didi Hamann and Robbie Fowler among others.

But we have to admit we’re more than a little bit startled by a bizarre incident during the Australian national anthem before the game as TV cameras caught Aussie TV host Craig Foster, who was playing for the Aussie side, getting up close and personal with the female mascot standing in front of him.

It turns out the girl is his daughter, but it’s hard to know if that makes things better or worse for the well liked and respected broadcaster.
