VIDEO: The J League goal of the year is an absolute corker

We haven't seen every goal in the J League but we're sure this is the best

Is it Scholesian or Scholesesque?

This is the goal that was voted the pick of the bunch for the year at the J. League Awards earlier this week.

The downright perfect volley came from the right boot of Kashima Antlers defender Daigo Naishi in August.

Nishi was making an edge of the box run in the 70th minute when the ball arrived at him from a corner and he walloped it like it owed him money.

It’s almost eerily beautiful without any commentary but we’re sure the silence is due to the fact that there’s no Japanese translation for “take a bow son!”

Remind you of anyone?
