With a Wayne Rooney penalty rescuing Manchester United from yet another 0-0 draw, the third round FA Cup tie with Sheffield United was another frustrating day for the home faithful at Old Trafford.
United have racked up an incredible number of goalless draws this season and Louis van Gaal has been slated by some of the club’s support for the dull style of play he has brought to the club.
As Sheffield United defended excellently (up until stoppage time) chances were scarce as van Gaal’s men looked to book their place in the fourth round.
When they did eventually manage a shot on 65 minutes, it was greeted by ironic cheers from the home crowd.
In fact, things were so dull that this bloke couldn’t even stay awake for the game…
