Wexford used up all their luck today to win a thrilling FAI Women’s Cup final.
The matched went all the way to penalty’s after it first ended 1-1 after the 90 minutes and then 2-2 after the additional period of time at a rain-soaked Aviva this afternoon.
The opening goal of the afternoon was a sensational effort from Siobhan Kileen that looked like it might secure the win until in the 95th minute Wexford stole home an equaliser after a scrappy battle for possession inside the six-yard box.
Ciara Rossister eventually got the ball over the line however to force the game into an extra 30 minutes.

Wexford then went 2-1 up in extra time after a strike from Maria Delahunty while Shelbourne secured the lottery of penalties with a last gasp goal from Dearbhla Beirne.
The spot-kicks went the way of Wexford and they take home the title for the very first time in their history
