On-field marriage proposals can be tricky.
Thankfully this one went about as well as could be expected.
Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder John Ogu bravely got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend on the pitch, in front of his teammates.
After his side beat Maccabi Petach Tikva 5-2 in the Israeli top flight, the Nigerian player brought his partner Adaolisa onto the pitch, where he asked her to marry him.
Happily, she spared her now fiancee extreme public embarrassment by… well, I suppose I already gave away the end of the story in the first half of that sentence.
