We can see why Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard wanted to move to MLS.
In addition to the weather, wages and general lifestyle in Los Angeles, at the weekend, both players look like world beaters once again, rolling back the years as they bewitch American defences.
While, after training, they get to kick footballs at expensive vehicles.
The LA Galaxy duo have taken part in another Five Star Chevy Challenge, alongside Baggio Husidic and A.J. DeLaGarza, and, with Keane winning last time out, the pressure was on Gerrard to make amends.
The former Liverpool captain did just that, winning the challenge, which involved the players hitting footballs through the open window of the vehicle, or one of the LA Galaxy signs placed on the Chevy.
Gerrard shows he hasn’t lost any his of technique, as he manages to hit the target with three of his five shots, and is now level with Keane at the top of the leaderboard, after two rounds, with 12 points apiece.
The overall winner will be decided by a steel cage match between the pair before Galaxy’s next home fixture…
Actually, sorry, it’ll most likely be another test of their accuracy involving footballs and a SUV.
