The first ever FA Cup match at the London Stadium was a night to forget for West Ham United fans.
Slaven Bilić’s team were 3-0 down at half-time and ended up losing 5-0 to Manchester City after Sergio Agüero and John Stones added further punishment in the second half.
But it seems more than a few Hammers fans missed Stones’ goal, having made a beeline for the exits when City’s fourth goal went in just after the restart.
Footage from the BBC showed what looked like a smattering of supporters leaving their seats when Agüero prodded the ball into the West Ham net, but this video from Twitter user ‘Slimbill7’ suggests it’s worse than it first appeared.
According to ‘Slim’, there were actual queues for the exits, just five minutes into the second period.

It is not clear whether the person who filmed the clip was on their way out, while it is hardly the first time fans of a club have left early during a heavy home defeat, but there has been a fair bit of backlash to the footage above.
While the hosts were outclassed by a City side playing better than they have done for some time, many felt those in attendance should have stuck around to see the conclusion of the game, or at the very least wait longer than 50 minutes before leaving.
