All those hours spent playing rounders as a youth in Tallaght paid off for Robbie Keane this week.
Throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game can be a tricky task, particularly if you’re not from a country who plays America’s greatest pass-time (apologies to any Irish baseball teams out there, but come on, you know what I mean).
So when Robbie Keane was asked to throw out the first pitch at Dodgers stadium the other night, his heart must have been pounding. It seems that whenever a celebrity or prominent figure fails at doing the tradition, they do so in spectacular fashion.
Luckily for Robbie, that wasn’t the case for him.
Ok, so Keane’s pitch wasn’t great by any stretch of the imagination, but it could have been so much worse.
