The former Liverpool men linked up nicely to provide the final nail in the coffin for Kevin Doyle’s Colorado Rapids
It looked like it was going to be a tough night for the Galaxy as the Rapids took the lead in the first half through Marcelo Sarvas and maintained it until the interval.
After the break the Galaxy started to dominate with goals from Sebastian Lletget, Alan Gordon and Robbie Keane.
Keane’s 11th hour goal put the game beyond doubt and came after some nice link up play with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard cropped up with an admittedly, slightly over-hit pass to Keane inside the box, and the Irish international duly provided the finish.
