It’s only simple because he makes it look simple.
Thomas Muller is a gem, we can clarify that right now.
The German struck his 18th league goal of the season at home to Werder Bremen and, whilst it might not win any goal of the season awards, it really should be appreciated.
He rattled in a stunning bicycle kick two weeks ago at the Allianz Arena. Then, in training for the Dortmund clash, he was running around with a megaphone. True story.
And, as if he couldn’t be any more of his unpredictable self, he buried a predictably unpredictable finish in the first half of Saturday’s clash. It was spectacularly unspectacular.
A stunning run from Kingsley Coman down the right hand side the whole way to the byline set up the goal brilliantly. The French man dinked the ball across the six yard box and, although Muller isn’t exactly a long way from goals, he has a lot to do.
And how he does it effortlessly.
