Could the keeper have done better though?

It’s been a morning of Golazos here at SportsJOE Towers.

First, we brought you Juan Capdevila’s lob from inside his own half, before the Venezuelan “Terminator” scored an absolute thunderbolt of his own in the Copa Libertadores.

And contender number three for goal of the day comes from Poland and a man named Dariusz Kołodziej, with a 40 yard free kick that ploughed straight into the top corner.

He was in action for his side Bielsko Biala in a friendly against Romania’s Pandurii Targu Jiu, and I can’t imagine he’s struck a ball cleaner in his 32 years.

Yeah, it doesn’t half the same “ball cannoning in off the underside of the crossbar” feel to it that The Terminator’s strike had, but getting that much power from that distance out is still a pretty incredible achievement.
