Paul Scholes has been a right auld whinge bag recently about Manchester United.
But finally, finally lord, he has a reason to simile again at a team selection of Louis Van Gaal’s.
The ex-England midfielder has been very critical of the Dutchman’s approach to Manchester United this season, slamming them as boring and expressing the opinion that the team have been hard to watch.
However tonight, ahead of the Champions League clash at Old Trafford as the club look to reach the last 16 of the competition, Scholes admits just one single player has restored his faith in the team.
It’s not Juan Mara, it’s not David de Gea, but a player who many fans would hardly have though would be a key player in Louis van Gaal’s plans at the start of the season in the form of Jesse Lingard.
The England man has been bizarrely compared to Anders Iniesta this week, and even though Paul Scholes doesn’t go that far he does feel that the player has restored a much needed verve in his former club once again.
Scholes believes the emergence of Jesse Lingard means @ManUtd are no longer a "struggle to watch". #UCL https://t.co/yS6gwKqqlp
