We can’t tell for certain, but Charlton Athletic fans may have turned on Roland Duchatelet and Katrien Meire… maybe.
The fans’ protest against the club owners intensified on Sunday as they took on Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship.
Supporters aren’t happy with the way Duchatelet and Meire have been running the club, particularly as they’ve seen young talent leave the club, such as Joe Gomez to Liverpool, while the players bought during their reign haven’t really impressed.
At the beginning of Sunday’s match, the referee was forced to stop play as supporters hurled black and white beach balls onto the pitch in protest at the owner. Stewards spent several minutes removing the beach balls before the action could resume.

Before kick-off the fans even staged a mock funeral outside the stadium for their club complete with black attire, a coffin and a huge “Roland & Katrien Time To Go” banner.
