Sweet smelling justice
We hardly would have thought that a clash between Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago in the Gold Cup would contain scenes such as these.
But we must be very ignorant of the spicy hot jalapeño like rivalry between the two countries as the Mexicans tried to hold onto a 4-3 lead in the dying moments of the game last night.
That lead had been achived thanks to a shocking last gasp own-goal from Kenwyne Jones, that had looked like giving the Mexicans the all-important win.
There was still time for one last attack however and by the power of Dwight Yorke, Trinidad and Tobago managed to win a corner.
Only the Mexican fans in that part of the stadium were not too happy with Joevin Jones who was pelted with rubbish by fans as he tried to lift the ball into the box.
Not that any of the officials seemed to take any notice
The ball was delivered into the box and it found the head of Yohance Marshall who probably scored the sweetest equaliser of his life to rescue a 4-4 draw.
The draw was enough for Trindad to earn the draw required for them to finish top of the group just ahead of the Mexicans.
Someone needs to tell those fans to bring their rubbish home with them.
