Lionel Messi is the greatest player of a generation, if not of all-time.
So when the Argentinian maestro picks 10 young players he thinks are going to be the next big thing, you have to sit up and listen.
The Barcelona star selected young football prodigies from across the world in the first episode of the ‘Backed by Messi’.
There are a few familiar faces in this select group including Manchester United’s James Wilson, Chelsea’s Robert Kenedy and former Manchester City wonderkid Marcos ‘Rony’ Lopes, who is now at Monaco.
We hear their greatest achievements in the game so far, their ambitions and what it feels like to be among the chosen few by Messi. They all get a jazzy pair of boots from the man himself too.
The series will follow how they get on through the season…
