Manchester United fans were distraught earlier when it was confirmed that David de Gea was going to miss tonight’s Europa league clash with FC Midtjylland.
The Spain goalkeeper appeared to twig something in his leg in the warm-up and there was a concern that Sergio Romero would be thrown in cold to the action.
However after pulling off several incredible stops, there’s no doubting that anyone unhappy with him taking David de Gea’s place have been firmly silenced.
He answered all of his critics with a Gordon Banks-esque save in the first half.
He then followed it up with another incredible stop after the hour mark.
And fans, both neutral and partisan, were all astounded by his efforts.
