The inner chimp has taken over again it seems.
Luis Suarez scored the opener tonight at the Mestalla in the 1-1 draw with Valencia, but the shine from his recent impressive performances have been overshadowed by accusations of stamping on a defender in the game.
The Uruguayan and defender Aymen Abdennour were involved in tussles all night at the Mestalla but two incidents might warrant further investigation.
Firstly it appeared as if Suarez may have deliberately trampled on the Tunisian’s left foot in a tangle on the edge of the box
Having seen another replay of this, it looks like Suarez trod on Abdennour's foot

That would be bad enough, if a camera angle also hadn’t suggested that Suarez may have left his studs down on the arm of the centre half too as they fell to the ground, which left a gash in the Valencia man’s arm.

We’ll see if any complaint is made by new Valencia manager Gary Neville in the coming hours.
