Much has been written about Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United future in recent weeks.
The Dutchman is clearly under pressure in the media after seeing his team drop out of the top four, and it was reported he offered to resign after the weekend defeat at home to Southampton – their fourth at Old Trafford in 12 Premier League games this season.
Van Gaal has tried to keep a dignified silence through all this, but there are times where he has taken it upon himself to tear into those reporting on the situation in Manchester.
It happened when he stormed out of a press conference in December, and now it’s happened again in response to questions on that supposed resignation offer.
Van Gaal refuses to answer a direct question about the matter, noting that it is something he’s never brought up himself.
“I think that you make your own stories, and then I have to answer on your stories,” he said.
“I’m not doing that, because I think it is awful and horrible.”
Just asked Louis Van Gaal if he offered to quit after Man Utd's latest defeat. Here's his response: pic.twitter.com/CnDLaNcgqC
