James Wilson is still in Louis van Gaal’s plans…
If Martial, Rooney and Fellaini are injured that is.
The Manchester United manager opened up on the 19-year-old striker who’s exciting rise has suddenly stopped this season with no game time available to the English man.
The big-money arrival of Anthony Martial did him no favours either and it was expected that he’d be sent out on loan – or anything – whilst van Gaal focused elsewhere.
But the transfer window closed, Rooney came back from injury, Martial caught fire and, still, Wilson signed on the dotted line of a new contract with a club.

Even Marouane Fellaini is starting up front ahead of him.
However, Louis van Gaal won’t rush to offload Wilson on loan even though he knows that the youngster needs game time.
The Dutch boss is very much of the mindset that the needs of the club are more important than that of the individual and they COULD need Wilson at some stage. It seems a little harsh on the striker but van Gaal sees him as a successor to Martial – of the same age.
So he won’t make a judgement until December it seems.
