VIDEO: Liverpool fans could learn a lot from Borussia Dortmund supporters whose ticket price protest causes chaos

It was only a matter of time before somebody thought about launching hundreds of tennis balls at a football pitch.

Borussia Dortmund fans showed Liverpool how to do it with their ticket price protest on Tuesday night.

Don’t just miss the match, stop the whole bloody thing too.

The German outfit won 3-1 at Stuttgart in the quarter-final of the DFB-Pokal but they didn’t see Marco Reus’ opener because they boycotted the first 20 minutes of the tie.

Liverpool supporters staged a 77th minute walk-out of their home clash with Sunderland at the weekend to protest against their own ticket prices but Dortmund fans took it one further.

During the game, Jurgen Klopp’s old support lobbed tennis ball after tennis ball onto the pitch that caused a delay in the game. We don’t just mean two or three, we mean a sh*t load.

The players had to clear the pitch before play could resume but the point was made loud and concisely.

A quarter of the away tickets for the cup clash at the Mercedes-Benz Arena were sold for 70 euro with the cheapest seat going for 38.50 euros. Even standing tickets cost 19.50 euros.
