As we all know by now, Lionel Messi is quite good at football.
Barely a week passes by without the brilliant Argentine breaking some form of record.
This week is no different, only this time Messi won’t be too pleased with his latest milestone.
Ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League second leg against a struggling Arsenal side, the Catalans hosted Getafe at the Nou Camp.
Once again, Barca made light work of their opponents, and had only just taken the lead when they were instantly presented with the opportunity to double their lead from the penalty spot.
Up stepped Messi, who attempted to place his spot-kick low towards the goalkeeper’s left.

However, the goalkeeper saved it, sentencing Messi the eighth penalty miss of his La Liga career.
This means that Argentine has now missed more penalties than any other player in the history of La Liga – overtaking his former Barca teammate, Samuel Eto’o.
We always knew he was overrated.
