Aside from being a frankly brilliant football manager, Diego Simeone is also one scary fella. An intimidating player in his day, he might even be more intimidating on the sideline. The Argentinian prowls the technical area, dressed in black, whipping up the Atletico fans and remonstrating with any one who comes into his sphere.
But in last night’s Champions League game, Bayer Leverkusen gaffer wasn’t backing down when Simeone, and his equally scary assistant German Burgos, got in his face after Schmidt was unhappy with a decision.
