Video: Karim Benzema commits horror flying knee foul on goalkeeper

He wasn't even shown a yellow

This sort of move wouldn’t look out of place inside an Octagon

Real Madrid went four points clear at the top of La Liga with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Sevilla last night. James Rodriguez opened the scoring before going off with a broken metatarsal and Jese added the second for Madrid. Liverpool loanee Iago Aspas got a consolation goal for Sevilla on the 80th minute.

James Rodriguez’s awful injury was the main talking point of the game but there was another moment that seemed to be glossed over involving Karim Benzema.

Check out this nasty foul by the French forward on Sevilla goalkeeper Beto during a bouncing, 50-50 ball. For some odd reason, the referee didn’t see a reckless flying knee challenge that connected with the goalkeeper’s face as a bookable fence as Benzema got away without receiving a yellow card.
