Will goalkeepers ever learn
If you were to ask someone where they thought the best piece of skill from the weekend’s football would take place, we’d guess that The New Lawn would not feature.
However it will take a pretty special goal to beat this effort by Jon Parkin this afternoon in the clash between Forest Green Rovers and Macclesfield in the Football Conference.
The visitors were just one place above Forest Green in the play-off spots today before the game, but the home side got a perfect start with this incredible strike from Parkin after 22 minutes.
He takes the shot from just inside the Macclesfield half, but its still a superb effort to secure his 28th goal of the season and helped the home side to a 3-1 win.
There really should have been more than the crowd of 1714 to witness such a strike
