Nice reception for the Ireland legend.
Real Sociedad gave former player, and Republic of Ireland striker, John Aldridge a hero’s reception. The Liverpudlian was the first foreign footballer to play for the Basque side, and was guest of honour at yesterday’s game.
Aldridge signed for Sociedad in 1989 and had an impressive strike rate, scoring 40 times in 75 games, before returning to English football in 1991.
Thank you to all the Real Sociadad fans for a tremendous salute at h-t.Words fail me,humbling,so emotional.Muchas gracias!RESPECTO

Skip forward to about four minutes in for Aldo’s reception, unless you’re Spanish is better than ours.
